Cloud9 Heroes of the Storm Gains Strength With Two Full Teams

Cloud9 is proud to announce two Heroes of the Storm teams. Building from the original core team that won the Blizzcon 2014 Exhibition Tournament, Cloud9 Heroes of the Storm is splitting into two sister teams that’ll be known as Cloud9 Vortex and Cloud9 Maelstrom.

“For Blizzcon, we had a limited amount of time to put together the best team possible for a single event.  We exceeded expectations by winning this event but now we’re building for the long term.” explained Jack Etienne, General Manager and Owner of Cloud9. “We split up the team that performed at Blizzcon and put them into two distinctive teams that each had their own unique flavor. We were able to fill out the rest of their rosters with teammates that complimented their play style best and would give them good chemistry for the future.”

The Cloud9 Vortex roster:

Cameron “Bobbyhankhill” Nelson
Justin “Jintae” Dinh
Kun “iDream” Fang
Joshua “RawrJar” Kofalt
Name to be revealed next week
Thao “Arriett” Nguyen - Manager

The Cloud9 Maelstrom roster:

Christopher “Zuna” Buechter
Ken “Kenma” Buechter
John Paul “KingCaffeine” Lopez
Derek “DunkTrain’ Arabian
Keaton    “Biceps” Consentine
Julian Collins - Manager

Ready to take on the competitive scene, both C9 Vortex and C9 Maelstrom will be playing in King of the Storm, Heroes Premiere League Qualifiers, and the Nexus Brawl. Stay tuned to our social channels for more details.
