Cloud9 Acquires Licorice, Wiggily, and Selfie for League of Legends

By John Nomis | |

We at Cloud9 are thrilled to kick off an exciting era of the NA LCS by welcoming the newest members of the Cloud9 League of Legends family, Eric Licorice Ritchie, Raymond Wiggily Griffin, and Marcin Selfie Wolski!

Licorice most recently lead EUnited to back-to-back first place finishes in the Spring and Summer Regular Seasons of the NACS and was formerly with our C9 Challenger team in late 2016. Wiggily and Selfie came over from Phoenix1, but are more recently remembered for their time in the NACS with Tempo Storm in the 2017 NACS Summer split. While Wiggily brings a wealth of top-tier solo queue experience through his climbing and claiming of Rank 1 on NA’s Challenger ladder, Selfie brings a wealth of experience from his time with Misfits and Schalke04, including an undefeated regular season with Schalke04 in the 2017 EUCS Spring Split.

“Obviously this has been a really exciting time for League of Legends as a whole, and we’re looking forward to our next chapter with Licorice, Wiggily, and Selfie as part of the family. They’re ready, I’m ready, and I know the fans are ready for us to get back to the action!”
— Jack Etienne, Cloud9 Founder & CEO

We are honored to continue our journey in the NA LCS; make sure to stay tuned as we continue to share our plans for the League of Legends division going into 2018!
