British Hurricane Announce Roster for Contenders Season 3

By John Nomis | |

The British Hurricane are thrilled to announce our roster for Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 3: Europe! Returning to the team for Season 3 are Herman Nesh Kobrin, Finley Kyb Adisi, Hafþór Hafficool Hákonarson, and Jakob bock1 Kleveland! And joining them are two new faces, Joni Jofi Ilves and Seb numlocked Barton!

Jofi is a Finnish player and was a member of We Have Org in Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 2: Europe. His positive and uplifting attitude have already made an impact with the team! Our other addition, numlocked, is a local United Kingdom talent who was a member of the Los Angeles Valiant in Season 1 of the Overwatch League. His experience dates back to the very beginning of competitive Overwatch and his leadership and communication skills will go a long way in our pursuit of another championship!

“I am really looking forward to working with Jofi, we discovered him through OWL tryouts that Astro and others played with him. He has tons of potential and his personality is already a great fit.”
— Ysabel "Noukky" Müller, British Hurricane Team Manager
“It wasn’t easy to find a main tank to fill Fusions’s shoes as a caller and playmaker. But Numlocked is as driven as they come and a great player and caller in his own right. We’ve seriously enjoyed working with him so far, and we’re excited to win Contenders with him on board.”
— Joshua "Elbion" Tuffs, British Hurricane Head Coach
“We have some fresh new faces for Season 3 and everyone here can’t wait to see how far the team goes. It’s going to be a fun season, and for Jofi and numlocked, welcome to the Hurricane!”
— Jack Etienne, Cloud9 CEO & Owner

In addition to these roster moves, the Hurricane are also announcing the release of Michael MikeyA Adams and Ryan CrusaDe van Wegen. Both players were tremendous assets during their time with the Hurricane and we wish them well in the next stage of their careers.

You won’t have to wait long to see the new-look Hurricane in action, as they’ll be in action in the Angry Cup on November 10th followed up by Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 3: Europe later this month!
